I recently went wireless (MTN as my ISP via GPRS). I am very happy with all aspects of the experience except that I seem to get more virus threats than before (when I was with Telkom. Don't get me wrong, I am very happy to have ditched Telkom.) Is this because MTN ISP service doesn't have decent anti-virus filtering or what?
I use AVG, which is fine except that with alot of trojan threats I get told to restart my laptop. A real pain. How can I minimise this?

Hi Fenwick

Trojan threats would probably come from the websites you browse.
MTN wouldn't scan the content of the website you browse or files you download.
Are you running Norton Antivirus?
There are a couple free alternatives Avast, AVG
A good paid for one is Nod32.

A firewall would be advisable, but it wouldn't help with trojans in the content you browse.
