Running an HP Pavilion dv6-1030ei notebook on Windows 7, and for no apparent reason my notebook goes through phases where it just loses my wireless connection. Sometimes it reconnects immediately, other times it takes a fair amount of time and manual attempt to reconnect until it's successful. I tried running it on the wireless network at Wits very briefly today and never had any hassles. Tried reinstalling the wi-fi adapter in the device manager, resetup the connection, restored factory defaults on home router and set the whole thing up again - still experiencing the disconnects now. Not having this problem on any of the other machines on my home network.

Any suggestions?? I honestly can't work out why it just started out of the blue... been working hassle-free for months. The only conclusion I've been able to reach is that something's gone wrong with the actual physical wireless adapter?

Having a similar problem with my Lenovo. Seems to work fine at work but drops the connection at home (from about 3m). Thought it maybe the router but other 2 PCs have no problems (Desktop and laptop using usb wireless dongles).

Nevermind... think it might actually be my router. Just noticed that the wireless isn't connecting on my phone either. Argh... mission.

It's just past the beginning of the month. So it could be new neighbor's that's my problem.. moving over to 5ghz as we speak
