Haven't had enough time to analyse my problem properly and I was hoping for a bit of help.
I think the Router I have is quite commonly used here and perhaps someone has got some setting for me.

Specs:
Laptop - HP6710b
Router - DLink DSL-2640U. Latest Firmware.

I can set The Router up on my LAN, but I am struggling to get my laptop and The Router to communicate via Wireless.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks in advance.

I've got the same router. No worries here.

Switch off firewalls.
Start with no encryption.
Use netstumbler to check which channel to use.

I'd guess the trouble is on the laptop side. Does it support 802.11g?

I uploaded a screenshot here.

Hi Guys,

Thanks for all the help.
Been too busy to work on the Laptop and get back to you.

The underlying problem was the Network Cable!
Once I unplugged the network cable the Laptop saw the Wireless Router. :p
