Right, here's the situation

I have a wireless card for my desktop PC which connects to an AP which in turns connects to the router. However randomly yesterday, my wireless can still connect to the AP, but I don't have any internet access. Chrome brings up the message that it is unable to resolve the DNS.

I've reset my PC, the AP and the router all to no avail :(. All other PCs - both wired and wireless - can connect fine which makes the problem a bit baffling. At the moment, I can only get internet once in every 10 attempts and then it lasts about 30 seconds.

I'm using Windows 7 if that makes a difference.

Does anyone have any other ideas to resolve this problem?

Not sure why access is denied - I am the administrator of the computer

So after some more prodding and diagnosis in PM we were able to resolve this

Symptoms: DNS resolution issues and sites timing out
Cause: Wireless signal interference
Solution: Changing channels to a different frequency band sorted it right out

There is also another cause of this type of 'drop out'
Some of the first issued Atheros Ethernet / Wireless cards had a driver meltdown, where you needed to reboot the pc - or the machine would just stall on any network connectivity.
It's easily solveable by just installing newer (non WDM) drivers.
Glad you got it sorted though !
