Hi,
I've read a couple of posts on sharing a dsl line using wireless and smoothwall/chillispot (bandwith usage monitoring). My problem is that many of them suggest using a PC, with two network cards, as a proxy - connect one card to the internet and the other to a wireless ap.
If you have a combo dsl wireless modem, is it possible to force traffic through a PC acting as a proxy, connected by ethernet to the wireless/dsl router (with an ethernet port). Basically, I don't want to buy another network card/hardware. Is it necessary to have the proxy physically between the dsl point and the wireless.
Thanks a stack
