Wireless iBurst with trendnet modem

Hey.
I'm trying to create a wireless for my home with a USB iBurst modem connected to a trendnet modem.
Now when I connect the iBurst modem/trendnet modem combo via lan cable to my pc my pc can't identify the network.
Why is this and how can I overcome this?

Is the trendnet (I assume you meant) router compatible with the iBurst USB modem?

I believe the router is compatible, I've managed to connect wirelessly to it before

Whats the model number of your Trendnet modem?

Wild stab in the dark:
Are you able to ping the modem or access its setup via browser on the PC? If you can ignore the rest.
Do you have DHCP active on your modem, and if you do is your PC setup for auto-IP? Else make sure the ip range of PC and modem match... Off of the bat, thats the only thing I can think of if the PC can't identify the network, unless the LAN connection is faulty.

I would check the IP ranges of PC and modem match. Silly point but always worth checking, have you tried another Lan cable?
