Wireless interconnected cars by 2017

I saw demo videos of this on the BBC and it's promising for road safety.

There should be kits made available for all cars to be upgraded to talk with the the newer ones.
 
What a pity that we won't be able to talk to one another. Imagine thanking the person who cut you off, or perhaps explaining how intelligent someone is for making a particular maneuver.
