Wireless Internet for Gaming

Hey all,


I am currently on the 8ta Promo 5 and as it is ending soon I am in the market for another option as the "talk around the water cooler" has been that the price will rise substantially when they release the new contract options ...

I am currently studying online and I game online (mainly BL2 and Dota2) on top of that I browse and watch the odd youtube videos to help with my studies ...

With all that in mind I need no less than 10Gb a month for as cheap as possible ...


What options are currently available that will fill that roll ... How good is iBurst as they have a Pro10 which as I understand is 10gb daytime browsing and 10gb after 12 and that is for R198pm...


All information would be greatly appreciated.

Well that all depends on where you live, if you have a line of sight to some landmarks (like the Northcliff Water tower in Joburg) you can use a WISP like Amobia who have wireless uncapped for a little less than the equivalent ADSL speeds IIRC, else iBurst is your best bet if you can't get ADSL

Is your contract expiring? They have to honor the R199 till the contract ends so if its not ending soon I'd just stay put

I am currently in Villieria, Pretoria and to my knowledge there are no landmarks in LOS distance ...

I have 2 contracts, my 1 is almost up and my GF's 1 was just opened that is why I was looking at alternatives.

Why don't u grab the 10Gb for R199.00 from 8ta while its still running? Before it expires again ? U will have two but its better then getting stuck with nothing or something more overpriced
