So I bougth a new modem today becuase my old one died. Now the new one supports wireless connection it has a usb input for it.

What I want to know is will I be able to buy something that can go into the usb slot on the modem to my xbox 360 so that I can have a Wireless connection to it. And if Yes will it be able to see the computers on the connection as well. Because I have 4 cabled connection on the modem and all of them can go on the net and see each other for lan.

What I basically want is to plug what ever you need to buy into the usb slot on the modem to the Xbox, because my modem is in the one room and the Xbox is in the living room. I want to be able to make it like a wireless connection to stream movies from my PC to the Xbox 360. Currently doing it wired!

There's an xbox wireless adapter for about R1k. But it's better to stick with the wired connection if you wanna stream HD content .

Its a Siemens Giga 762SX WLAN dsl Telkom Modem.

If you don't have a manual check here for the online version.

The USB port is for a printer.

No other devices are required to be attached to the ADSL router to enable wireless - it has wireless built in - check the sections on setting up devices to access the wireless network on your router (page33).

You can get this wireless adapter: http://www.bidorbuy.co.za/item/2188...ter_XAP_54G_Support_Xbox_PS3_PSP_NDS_Wii.html

Its a generic brand, but works 100%. I am currently using it on my xbox. It uses the normal ethernet port on the xbox, powered by USB, and connects to a wireless router.

R495 versus paying R800 - R1000. It probably wont work if you want to stream HD movies, as wired is always best.

Xbox have released a new Wireless N adapter, which may be used for streaming videos --> not sure of pricing as yet.
