Hi Guys
Just wondered on what your opinion would be on this. We have developed a set of firmware/ wireless routers and software which is in a kind of alpha stage to ditribute low cost wireless Internet access. When I say low cost , I mean decent speeds (2Mbps+) and prices such that a domestic worker could afford it. The Alpha phase works well on a small basis , but we want to scale it up and the software portion of the product does not currently scale well.
We are at a point where we need a certain amount of funding to produce a commercially solid product that scales. We have already obtained 85% of the funding from an IDC grant (given upon rigouris inspection of our paperwork and prototypes by ICT experts) , and the development of project plans are already in their late stages.
We have a problem with the other 15% , as we have little security to get bank loans and are wary of investors hijacking our ideas which are complex and have taken years to refine.
What would be a good institution to approach to gain the rest of the funding? We need someone who has an understanding of technical subjects and can converse with us.
I apologise if this is in the wrong place and realise this may not be a technology question but it has tech implications...
Any help would be appreciated.
