Wireless keyboard w built in mouse (>10m range)

No joy in the TV forum so:

I have managed to use a second lcd monitor to watch tv on in the bedroom (via a TV Box) but now I would like to use the internet too, but I can't find a wireless RF keyboard with a range of more than about 10 metres!

Some say 100 feet (30 m) but the reviews always say 5-10 m max range at best. I need about 12m + range..... USB extenders might be an option to make up the distance.

Anyone use a wireless keyboard that has a decent range that would work through 2 walls?
 
I'd definitely go with the USB extender. You can get them for less than R200. You will spend R200 in the first two months on batteries alone. I'm not a big fan of wireless keyboards, they chew batteries and don't last well.
 
Thanks. Starting to look a bit pricey with decent keyboards just over a grand. Any particular store that has good prices on usb cables that you know of?

um, that has rechargeable batteries, killa. But even those will not last more than a year. Wanna take a bet? They are el cheapo rechargeables that lose more and more life every time you recharge them.

I like Logitech, but I am not sold on the wirless tech.

100 meters is the theoretical range at 100mW. Practical range is more like 5 meters though.

Not to mention the security concerns with wireless tech as well.
 
No but the logitech i have does not have rechargeable, good old duracell which have lasted 4 months thus far. Don't think wireless keyboards really use that much battery power so they should last a very long time.

I love a wireless keyboard, wireless mouse suck because the batteries make them very heavy.
