Hi mense.

Was wondering if its possible to make my PS3 wireless N as I have a wireless N300 router and my media server doesn't stream smoothly all the time, needs to be faster
An upgrade like a USB plug-in would be awesome.

Even if there was a way, don't waste your time with wireless. Wireless N may peak at a high speed, but for sustained throughput, wired is still the best option.

For a media server, and streaming of video content, run a cable, as mentioned by the others on this thread. Wireless is fine for surfing, downloads, browsing, and even a bit of gaming. For media streaming, you can't beat the speed and quality of electrical signals running down a copper cable (except for fibre-optic, I suppose). Once you start adding more devices to your wireless network, its gonna really start to suck, even with 802.11n at 300mbps.

Keep the wireless, for convenience, and for connections from laptops, cellphones and other mobile devices. Fixed devices, like your PS3, media server, etc, should be wired for best performance.

Save your money, and invest in some cable. You won't regret it.

Cable is the way to go, switched from Wireless G and haven't looked back. Apparently you could hook up a Wireless N access point and connect it to the Ethernet cable on the console, never tried it though.
