Good day guys...

I am having trouble with my network.

1. I have SUPERSONIC FLTE, I get like 100mbs on it when I do a speed test with lan cable connected directly to the router.

2. I share my connection with my house via 2 x sxt mikrotiks.. AP by the Shop and Station by the house. I have clear line of site. and is a mere 1km apart.

My problem is, if I do a speed test at my house, I only get like 30 to 40mb max if i am lucky. ( with a lan cable directly into the pc )

Today I setup 2 Ubi m5's in the shop to test, if may b is with the sxt a problem.

Nope same story only get 25-40mb on pc if i am lucky.

If I plug lan cable again straight into the router bam speed is lovely..

Any help or info would be apricated. please reply here or dm me, if i can give you a call and you can help please.

Regards

Sounds about right for that tech.

Ubi M5 is 1x1 802.11n with a 100mbps interface.

With 20mhz channels 65-72 Mbps link, which equates to about what you're seeing real world. Switching to 40 should get you closer to the limitations of the 100mbps eth, but still won't get you 100 on the dot.

Makes sense, I am running on 40mhz.. what is strange my upload is 47mbs.. that is what I get on router aswell, it is the DL that is between 20-40mbs..

Dunno - can't think of a good reason why it would be that asymmetrical. You'll need to wait for someone more knowledgable to help you

Gut feel says its MTU connected somehow but that's a wild ass guess ™

whats the channel interference like on both sides?

Are we safe in assuming that these are 5ghz SXT and not 2.4ghz?

First, try change the frequency there may be interference. However the only way you are going to get real help is by showing some info.

click wireless registration and show the signal strength, rx & tx rate. That will point to the next steps
