Wireless network - starting one

Hi

My friends and I would like to start a wireless network/LAN
We are about 4/5 dudes.
Most of us live in a 1.5km radius, 1 in about +-3km
Main reason for the wireless network is gaming, most don't have ADSL
What hardware would we need, and what would the cost per person be?

Start your own

Routerboards,some High powered Panels on poles/towers aimed at eachother and go to town

Asking the guys on Wug.za.net for specs and recommendations will do you right

To setup your own wireless network, you'll need LoS (line of sight) between the homes or to a high-site, where the latter will be expensive.
