Wireless Poor Coverage

I have a Billion 7300M wireless router.
Trying to access from my Laptop results in poor to very poor connection + sometimes no connection (OK if in the same room!). It does have to go through brick walls etc... but I expected better coverage.

Any suggestions to improve coverage?
Is some form of repeater a viable option?

If its a HP laptop with Intel wireless drivers try upgrading the drivers and see what happens.

What you need to do is re-position the router and check for signal. This will be a trial n error method, but by doing this you should get better signal on yr laptop.
