I'm looking for a wireless print server to run one or two printers on at home. We have one desktop machine and various notebooks, all running Windoze 7 or 8. There are two printers in the house - a baby LaserJet and a Canon photo printer. The immediate need would be to get the laser printer onto a wireless server. As I understand it, the options are a printer server, a wireless router with a USB port (these two seem to cost about the same).

One other possibility would be to ditch the laser printer and replace it with a wireless one. Now would be a good time to do this as it needs toner.

Any ideas?

Depending on what sort of networking you already have and where you want the printers, I would think more in terms of using the desktop as print server (or cabled USB print servers connecting your printers directly to a cabled network) and a single wireless access point for the mobile devices to connect (which could be a wireless router modem if you have or want to share ADSL/3G.)
