As per the title, I'm looking for a Printer that has Wi-Fi connectivity, but it must be able to scan-to-email, do wireless printing from a mobile or PC (either via the internet or local wireless network).

I see that Game/Dion sell HP's for under R1000, but my biggest challenge is to get one that can do both as mentioned above. I don't need a Laser printer as I wont be printing that much.

Any suggestions and experience?

I had a sub R1000 HP. Printer works well, but ink is crazy expensive. Have a look at the Epson Ink Tank System range of printers. The Epson L365 has everything you need for about R1800 and includes enough ink to last you for ages.

If you have an IOS device make sure the printer supports AirPrint.

I whent through the process of shopping for printers for my small business, comparing long term costs of traditional InkJet and the Epson InkTank systems. The long and the short of it is that the Epson EcoTank / InkTank printers win hands down all the way in all aspects, yes the initial purchase price is a bit high, but from there you win all the way. I'm looking at the Epson L565 because I want ethernet conectivity as well, but some of the cheaper models have USB and Wifi which is what you want. Epson also have a promotion where you get some money back from them if buying one of these EcoTank printers before the end of 2015.

I have a Samsung all in one laser with adf. You say you don't print alot, before this printer I had a Hp deskjet, problem was the color cartridge dried up. I printed 1-4 pages every month.
The laser doesn't have that problem.

It connects to lan via cable or wifi, you can print from mobile device, flashdisk, you can scan to mail(on its own, some small printers scan and email using the pc), scan to pc or to usb stick. It does have a doc feeder so scanning easy, it can fax as well.
