Hi All

I'm looking for a solution to send the audio signal from my Sony amp, located at the front of the lounge to a set of speakers (rear left and rear right) at the back. They will be mounted on or near the wall and any transmitter/wireless speaker that requires power will not be an issue (~1-2m from a power source).

However, I do not wish to run cables across the lounge for these two particular speakers.

Can anyone recommend a solution, be it a wireless transmitter, to the existing speakers (which do not have built in amps), from the audio out on the amp; or, wireless speakers (again, from the audio out on the amp).

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Does your current amp have pre-outs? You can get the signal there wirelessly but you'll need another amp to power the speakers.

Ja, that was my concern... That's why I thought there might be an option of standalone wireless speakers. Thanks.

use the ceiling.

Looks like it could be decent, but what volume do you normally watch movies at and how much power does your main amp do?
30W rms could be sufficient for rears as it's mostly just effects etc.

The amp puts out 60W RMS minimum per channel.

And you're right, odds are it's only for ambient music and effects, which shouldn't be as loud as the front speakers.

Minimum or maximum? I don't see any mention of resistance on those wireless amps, might want to check that.

They are a bit vague, especially the generic ones. Unfortunately to get them in this country the price seems to go up quite a bit, and it isn't worth the risk. I was hoping there was something available locally.
