Hi guys

I need some help with the setup that I will try to install. Please note I'm completely clueless when it comes to networks and how they should work but I can put together a pc so I'm not totally in the dark. Something that you should note is that the network will be in a Ubuntu, Win 7 and XP environment for file server purposes and I don't have adsl so I will need to connect to a hotspot.

What I'm thinking of is that I should get a bridge adapter like the link below which connects to my wifi hotspot and then run a cable to the lan port of another router (attached to file server) which will in turn connect to all my other devices. Reason being is that I don't want to connect to a wifi network to use the internet and then another to access my server:-

I also need recommendations on a decent router to attach to the file server. Where I stay is not big (under 80m[SUP]2[/SUP]). I would like to be able to use DDWRT or OpenWRT on the router. Price must be around R500 but reliability important.

Decided to stretch my budget a bit. Found a TP link bridge which seems to suite the purpose of connecting to the hotspot/wisp.

For the NAS I've found a TP-Link Ultimate router. It's got gigabit ports for large file transfers. Would this do the job sufficiently?
