Hi there MyBroadband network admins :)

I am currently doing my Masters at Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University in IT (MTech:IT). I need some information on companies. Please would you take 2minutes to fill out a survey. The questions relate to network security policies so I think this forum is the most suitable place.

http://www.nmmu.ac.za/websurvey/q.asp?sid=310&k=hsoiusptdm

There are only 5 questions so it won't take you too long.

Kind regards,
Paul

ps. if you are interested in the results of the survey post in this topic.

I don't like the part where I need to give my company name. I entered in a made up one.

Anyway, I answered:

Large
Yes
Yes
Yes
Yes

At 2 of my largest branches we have "visitors wi-fi" whereby you can sit in the foyer and access the internet. You still need a password to connect to the wireless and a username & password for the internet. They're also on their own VLANs. In these branches there is also company wifi for when you want to walk around with your laptop - only certain devices have access to this network (mac address filtering on the AP).

Hey hungrybeaver. Thanks for the reply. The company part is mainly for admin purposes so I can know people are not lying etc. Its not super important as I won't be mentioning any companies in my paper I write.

Keep the answers coming guys :)
