Wireless Speaker advice

I have a JBL Extreme as well as a JBL Flip 3, had the Flip before the Extreme. What is awesome about the JBL's is that you can connect multiple speakers with each other(the reason I got it). Would rather get the Extreme than the Charge, see they go for R2999 on special these days.

I have a friend with the Harmon Kardon Go & Play, so I can compare the two for you.
HK pro's - Sound is amazing, rich and full, better than the JBL
HK name
Long battery life

JBL pro's - LOUD
Can connect plenty JBL speakers with each other
Waterproof
More portable than the HK
Long battery life
Cheaper than the HK

Hope this helps a bit.

Thanx for the feedback, not really after loud, but more after clear at "normal volume" if that makes sense?
Yep, the multiple speakers bit is quite cool.

JBL is owned by Harman International Industries, a subsidiary of South Korean company Samsung Electronics.
Anyways
I have the JBL extreme and it's very good, but it's not that portable and it has a somewhat big power brick like a laptop. I don't like that.
I also had the JBL Charge2 and it was excellent for the size and portability. Both doubles as a battery bank for your phone. So I would go for the charge3

I was looking at getting this one

AMAZING

The Dreamwave Tremor is unlike anything I have ever heard / tested. It is a perfect mix of outdoor ruggedness and pure powerful sound. Normally with this type of speaker, you have to sacrifice one for the other.
The sound is loud, and I mean really, really loud; and yet there is absolutely no distortion, which is rare. The unit is well built and looks amazing, although I don't think it will appeal to everyone. The carry strap that is attached is literally screwed into the device so very little chance the strap will come loose.
Due to the massive battery, the unit is heavy, but you are not supposed to go jogging with it.
After playing with the unit for a while here are some thoughts on it.

Pros:

The unit is extremely rugged and even though it is only IPX5 rated this doesn't matter as you will not be swimming with this.
It is loud as you simply do not understand how much power this unit is.
The sound is clear as even at full volume there is no distortion
The unit can run at full blast for 8 hours (claimed not tested yet)
Exceptional build quality

Cons:

There is no battery indicator to show percentage of battery life left. The volume controls seem to operate only up to a certain level then adjustment from the input device is required (can someone else comment on this as maybe it's just my phone or device?)
It is pricey (but this is justified in my opinion)

I don't think there is anything like this device currently available in the South African market. If you think the price is a tad pricey there are other models in the Dreamwave range to consider. But if you want the best of both worlds it is worth every cent.

Very Impressive. Loud and has a real quality feel to it.

It is heavy and quite large, but expected as its got a massive battery.

Worthy buy.

Blown away, literally and figuratively - it says "nothing plays louder or longer" on the box and lives up to that promise. The high end is crystal clear, it's really simple to use and is reassuringly heavy. Also makes for a good phone charger on those long weekends away. It just keeps going and going... great piece of equipment and one of the first things I pack when heading out nowadays!
great sound buy 2 and get a real stereo experience, South Africa. 2 January 2018
Great fun at parties as peeps tend to want to play their own playlists - suggest a new DJ every hour

Well with the cash ????

Got one last week - seriously awesome unit! Sound is incredible and the battery lasts forever!

Yep, the multiple speakers bit is quite cool.

Look, the JBL is not bad at normal values. The HK's sound is just a bit richer. If portability and price is not price is not an option, go for the HK, else go for the JBL. You wont be disappointed in any one of the two.

Why not go to a shop and go look and listen to them. A place like Dion Wired should have all of them.

Hi

Can anyone offer any advice on the following speakers? Is the cost of the more expensive ones justified?
UE Boom 2 R1900
JBL Charge 3 R2500
UE Megaboom R3000
Harmon Kardon Onyx 4
Harmon Kardon Go & Play R 4200
B&0 M3 R4200

TIA

We have 2 UE Boom2s. Seriously good sound and goes loud.
According to lots of reviews the price of the Megabooms or Boom 3 not justified
