Hey all

So we had more cable theft over the weekend and it seems telkom may opt to not replace it.

Can anyone give me some names of companies that deal in wireless telecoms? The main goal being to replace the existing telkom handsets which we currently have.

I'm waiting for Vox to come back to me and iBurst seems to have no coverage.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

How much do you currently pay for internet access and what speed is the connection?

Piggly Wiggly

We had a diginet line at ~R6K for a 256k connection...

Richmond cables stolen about three times now.

One wonders what goes on with the Telkom cable "security" ????????

Go out to this place ( close by ) I know that the shops there have some kind of wireless access as I saw the equipment ( looked serious commercial ) and asked.

Did get the installers ( also local I think ) details but forgotten now , but if you go there they should be able to tell you.

IUncapped service the Howick area.. I think Telkom are stealing there own cables.. or someone high up in Telkom is doing it.. They are using proper equipment which is built onto a trailer.. and there seems to be more than one of these setups going around..

They are pushing the wireless and satellite options on people right after the cables get taken away.. they will make more money and its easier to maintain those networks.. Greed..
