Wireless TVs to go on sale after Ofcom ruling
Wireless televisions, which can connect to a set top box or DVD player without any cables, will be in the shops later this year.

The new technology will only be possible after Ofcom, the regulator, announced that it was releasing part of the radio spectrum to manufacturers.
This will allow the likes of LG, Panasonic or Samsung to make television sets that can "speak" to Sky boxes, DVD players or games consoles wirelessly – banishing ugly jumbles of cables from the corner of families' sitting rooms.
Any manufacturer of devices that use wireless technology – from portable computers to car fobs – needs permission from Ofcom to use part of the radio spectrum. At the end of this week Ofcom will have released a small part of the radio spectrum to be used specifically by television manufacturers.
Andrew Warner, director of LG in the Britain, said: "We've been developing wireless televisions for some time. Consumers want to have their home entertainment to fit in with the design of their house.
