Bought the Wireless USB adapter for R399.. Won't even get at least a "Very Goo
d" signal, the best i could get is Good, sometimes low. Should i have spent more and bought the WiFi PCI card? Or is the anything could do? I have a notebook using built-in Wifi card also connected to the same Wireless network with Excellent signal...

I've got 2 PCs in the same room, both equipped with identical Linksys Wireless USB adapters. The one has 1 wall between itself and the router and always has "Excellent" signal. The other has 3 walls between itself and the router and signal varies from "Poor" to "Very Good". What signal do you get when you put the laptop next to the other PC ?

Laptop & PC (with USB wireless) are actually very close to each other in the same room. The router is sitting at the lounge with the third HTPC, you could say two/1&half walls are obstructing... Something interesting though.. I'm currently downloading/updating Quickcam software with this 'Good' strength and there's little downloading window saying "Read X bytes (38 KB/s)".. X is changing quite fast between mega bytes... Isn't that a bit fast for anything less than 'Very Good' strenght.. what does KB/s as opposed to Kb/s means?
