Wireless usb that works?

My experience is to go wired, there is no better solution.

I have the following 2 external wifi cards and they work perfectly on Debian/Kali

TP-Link TL-WN722N
ALFA Networks AWUS036H

We have the TD-W8960N. It's an older model but obviously unbreakable and always works. All our laptops pick it up immediately, even before installation of any Linux. And it works with every Linux. Neither wifey nor me don't even know what kind of wifi chipsets we're rocking. **** just worx!

Compiling drivers if they're not in your distro's kernel is a complete waste of time. Just buy one that specifically says it supports linux and be done with it.

You can't always go wired.
I have a D-Link DWA-131 "Wireless N Nano USB Adapter" which seems to work with even old Linux kernels and modern Windows out of the box.
It has been useful with Intel NUCs and Apple MACs to be able to go online and find drivers for the onboard wireless.

Yes you can. Always. And if you can't, you can.

I had a similar issue with a TP link, in the end I took my old router, configured it to be a repeater and then went wired.

So that's a kinda wireless wired option and you can find dirt cheap second hand routers.
