Use Vodacom or MTN

Check which service provider gives you best speeds in your area and take that one. Test them first on prepaid sims ;)

Thanks for the reply

The only thing is that its not for a laptop but a desktop :( :(

You can get PCI-to-PCMCI add-on cards for your PC.

I did that and used my HSDPA card on my desktop.

And then when you get gatvol of hsdpa you will get adsl
Haha i am on HSDPA for about 9 months of wow at the start first few months i had crap latency 600-800 these day its nothing more than 400-600 90% of the time. But i live close to tower if i am you dude go check to coverage maps before you apply and get MTN not Vodalag.

Well i guess the best to go for at the moment is iburst.
Dude i dont have all the facts but i heard iburst gets effected by weather alot and you need GOOD signal then your set but if not your gonne pull out your hair.

Check if theres one of those fake mtn trees(tower) close to your house
if there is go mtn hasdpa usb modem.

Listen to Pitbull about a year back i asked same questoin on these forums
he helped me :)

Isn't the hsdpa option quite expensive?

iv been doin some research and ya it is a bit for a 1g cap its goin to cost about R350 a month. so at the moment i think im goin to have to carry on looking until i find one that a bit cheaper coz thats a lot a month. I dnt earn millions :( wish i did tho.

Iam still with Vodalag, damn *******s give kuk service. Dont do WOW with vodacom, I hear MTN is good. Anyways I downgraded my contract to R 70 pm and got ADSL and never looked back. I also had a horrible connect to the CSS servers with vodacom.

The cheapest would be dial up or ISDN.
For Adsl and Line rental is R 231.49 + R 80 p/gb - best option.
If you wanna go HSDPA get prepaid from MTN.

I first started playing using my cellphone 1000+ ms, then got HSDPA 400 - 2000 ms, now am on Adsl :)

What i did, was get 3g HSDPA first (latt was ok... 600-800ms with the occasional spike of 3k) while waiting for my Adsl to get installed

Now that i've got adsl, its just a case of waiting for my line upgrade -.-

If you want decent pings on WOW, just get Openweb's unshaped after hours fiber package. R189 for 3Gb.

I get between 400 and 700(at the most) between 7pm and 7am weekdays and same during the whole weekend.

The only problem that I see with 3g/HSDPA/whatever is that it is still wireless.

There is interference, trees and other electronic equipment that can cause you to disconnect.

I wish i could get adls but i cant at the mo as i dnt have a phoneline... and where im staying i cant get one installed. :( Ow well might just try MTN and see how it goes
