Wish Networks - Stellenbosch

Hi,

Our DSL is borderline unusable and Telkom can't be bothered to do anything. It's been 7 months of complaining to them and they just keep coming back to say the problem is, "Linked to xyz at your exchange. At the moment there is no ETA to fix it."

So the only other alternative is Wireless.

Looking at Wish, just wondering if anyone else on here uses them? Mostly gaming and streaming - supersport/twitch.

Any feedback on the experience would be appreciated!

Is it month to month or 12 month contracts? Can't seem to find that info on the website...
 
Wireless interference can be a serious problem in parts of Stellenbosch.

You can't get to Simonberg because of the toxic blob of noise that is the centre of Stellenbosch.
Papagaaiberg is a closed boys club.
There will probably be trees blocking any chance of getting to the Bottelary hills.
Helderberg is too far.

If you're in a complex, have your HOA contact us so we can look at fibre. Otherwise I have to agree with janinki...

Have tried Telkom LTE, they've been here twice and we only get 3G, even though their coverage website says LTE is available.

We're not in a complex, in a housing scheme. What do you need to sort us/me out with fibre :P
In other words I'm screwed until Telkom sorts their DSL issues out? Which at the moment seems like never.

Month to month. I have a 2MB uncapped with them. Streaming Netflix the works, no problems.

Sounds good if they can give it, I really am not interested in 100Mb speeds. All I want for now is constant reliable 2Mb. With no packet loss. We're on 2mb dsl at the moment and previously 4mb but it's useless. Honestly like being on 56k. So downgraded to 2mb.

We've just had almost 80% uptake in an "old age home" development. One of the highest uptake rates since we started.

Those silver surfers like to Facetime with the rellies far away. You may be surprised what happens when you knock on their doors.
