digital dynamics
tts also wisp
will never support a wisp
then you get a wisp put thier kit on same tower as yours and suddenly too much interference.The right wisp is the end of your problems. Great latency, excellent stability and proper support - not Telkom - "resetting ports" and having problem again in a couple of days![]()
ADSL has been running smoothly for my PE clients this year (touch wood), whereabouts are you?- not Telkom - "resetting ports" and having problem again in a couple of days![]()
TI, axxess & CW - most PE clients are on TI.Hi MickZA , are you with Telkom or an independant ISP ?
The right wisp is the end of your problems. Great latency, excellent stability and proper support - not Telkom - "resetting ports" and having problem again in a couple of days![]()
I was one of Aerosat's first customers. Had an entire tower almost to myself for a few months. Speed was around 15Mbps in the days when almost everyone was on 384 ADSL and few qualified for (or could afford) 4Mbps.
It was still crap. Worst customer service ever, and the connection was not reliable. Went back to ADSL.
WISP's is really all about getting the right one and if you do you get great internet. If the network is setup correctly, and all the other thousand variables are managed correctly - ADSL won't compare
* Better latency
* Lower contended (or opt for a package where you choose contention ratio)
* Actual support - "not we are logging a ticket with Telkom and just relaying the info"
* Someone that can actually see/make changes/assist immediately because last mile is done by them
* Multiple redundancies (again if your with the right WISP)
* SMS/Email notifications (pro-actively) without you having to wonder or complain first
* Actual person you can talk to if you have any billing/support inquiries
* Supporting local
List goes on...
This is of course my opinion![]()
Tell them you want a signal test .Guess I am going to give Igen a bash . Hope im not going to be dissapointed . Not really a heavy user 30 to 50 gigs a month
Know a few WISP's that will be able to assist (unfortunately not any in P.E, hence the OP)
Out of interest sake how much are you currently paying for the 40 Mbps VDSL line & Bandwidth costs?
Downloading, torrenting?
