Does anyone know a good Wisp provider in Pretoria? Everybody is giving good reviews about Wisp companies in either Durban or Cape town and none in Pretoria... Thanks :)

amobia, dcconnect and xdsl

Id recommend giving screamer a miss as they have products and prices that were good like in 2005

amobia's prices are by far better than the rest, however i dunno about their service, they were suppose to do a free site survey yesterday at 11am but didnt pitch or even call to postpone... so i guess its back to the drawing boards for me (might even consider iburst uncapped wireless, LOL thats how desperate i am atm:confused:)

If you go the iBurst route, don't get an uncapped account. They're known for being heavily throttled/shaped. Rather get one of the 25G+ or 50G+ accounts.

FFS! All these Wisps in Pretoria and not a single one that has coverage in PTA East (Moreleta Park) except for Screamer, and they suck.

maybe they have reception now because that coverage map was last updated in 2010 or 2011 because they say our area is planned to have coverage in June 2011.. im also in PTA east, Lynnwood Manor, so when amobia eventually comes out for that free site survey and they say there is reception then ill let you guys know!
