Why is it that WISP's in the Western Cape are so expensive but inland, Gauteng and Kwazulu-Natal, only two that I know of, are so cheap?

SA-Wireless is R500 for 1Mbit/s uncapped
Netrepeneurs is R999 for 512k uncapped
Wireless Online is R1550 for 512k 10GB Cap

This is just a few.

Some resell you connectivity on Telkom ADSL Lines (the cheap ones). Some got clever and now resell you connectivity on IS ADSL Lines and give you static IP addresses (the semi cheap ones). Others, have brains, and get expensive DigiNET to use for connectivity (the higher priced ones), and some use DigiNET and provide you with guaranteed bandwidth that is not contended (the extremely expensive ones).

It really just depends on what you buy... Do the homework, do the math. The overwhelming majority of these 'WISPs' just resell you ADSL via a Wireless link, most of the times their connectivity is more expensive than ADSL would cost in the first place -shrugs-

Sawireless are u trying to imply that they are no good, cos a related company has shoddy web design ?

:P
