Within the ANC

"Siph'isfebe?" ("where is the bitch?"), some of them, mostly women, led in chant. "SikuMbeki!" (she is with Mbeki!") the rest of the crowd responded.

President Thabo Mbeki, the African Rennaisance man, is said to be loved and respected all over the continent by millions of people who believe that he is leading Africa to a peaceful and prosperous future.

But back home, especially on Pritchard Street last Monday, Mbeki was an object of scorn and loathing.

This is horrible. Zuma is a corrupt bastard, and somehow the people are behind him?

Not even the spectre of Zuma's corruption trial, in July at the Pietermaritzburg High Court, seems to deter those who believe that Zuma is now on an "unstoppable" march to Mahlamba'ndlopfu. They dismiss the corruption trial as "a non-starter" and that the rape trial was the only "real" obstacle to his ambitions.

Yes, a criminal record means nothing in SA. Do what you feel like!

I hope Mbeki crushes him, regardless of the outcome of the trial

Mbeki is not ANC, the branches of the ANC choose the organisation's president. If Msholozi is elected ANC's president what's stopping him from becoming the Presidential candidate of a party in the presidential elections?

One would hope common sense, but I very much doubt that going on what I've seen so far.

At a time when South Africa's future is still in the balance, we need a strong, educated leader, not some idiot.

Needless to say, I'm not optimistic...

I want to say PRISON but somehow I doubt even if he is guilty of corruption he wont go to prison and there will be a war breaking out because the poor idiot got arrested

The corruption trial:
(1) Is it based on the Arms deal? If yes, why is he alone facing the courts. I think a deal of this magnitude will involve some of the members of the cabinet.

(2) Is it of the so called prima facie evidence Ngcuka had?

(3) Is it of the 'generally corrupt relationship' with Mr Schaik? If so, u'll see there are more 'idiots' running your country than this one.

stepper yes there are more idiots (ivy) but there are also good people who I cant think of now in government trevor is only to name one

Yes thanks for a reminder that we are here for Communications struggle in these forums.
Trevor: does he have ambitions to lead the organisation let alone the country?

"When a uniformed policeman climbed up and tried to force the six off the vehicle, some in the crowd screamed at the man in blue: "Leave them alone, this vehicle now belongs to Zuma!"

LOL :D

Why are none whites always criticised when a scandal breaks out , look at the previous Itallian president , Balasconi , who had a number of corruptions charges made against him , he used his power to quash them , its not only black people who commit crimes , yet white/ europeans are quick to point out when a Black person has failed .
