Wlan help

Hi Guys

I have a laptop and connect to ADSL router through wlan.The problem I have is
when I am logged into MSn and the telephone rings, I get logged out from MSN.
Could this be caused by interference or something.THis only happens when the phone rings

I think the little man that keeps your MSN session live gets a fright and jumps resulting in temporary disconnection.

Either that or it's solar flares

Is the phone also wireless (DECT or similar?). If it is the case, the DECT & WiFi signals have been known to interfere with each other if both transmitters are close to each other. Try moving them apart (at least 1 meter). Failing that, it's definetly the 'little MSN man' getting a fright!

Yes it can be either the pots filter that faulty or plugged in the wrong way around or if you have a cordless phone it can interfere with the wifi link. It uses the same frequency (most cordless phones anyway)
