WLAN Local Only on New Laptop

Hi,

Pls help.

I am setting up a new laptop. First time Vista user. If I connect to the router via cable, local and internet connection. If I connect via WiFi, local only.

What am I doing wrong?

I have now rebooted the router (not that I thought it could be that, as wired it works fine). it just keeps saying limited connectivity, local only. I have tried all the repair options, still nothing?

I have now set the IP adress to a static address, and it works fine. Pls explain? Is there a way of getting it to work without it being static?

Hey,

I am also getting the exact same problem.. Got a new HP4510s laptop, will only show local only on the network using a wireless connection.

Setting ip/dns did not work or i did it wrong..

Now i see why vista is so despised... Anyone sort this problem out yet?
