WLAN to LAN problems

Hello guys, I am having networking/router problems.

Whenever I try to initiate a WLAN to LAN connection between my computer (LAN) and my laptop (WLAN) via my router, my router restarts and I have to wait a couple of seconds before its back on again.

maybe i am missing something is there some setting i need to do before i can do this (is it even possible).

Just to clarify:

My PC is connected via network cable into my Router.
My Laptop is connected via WLAN to my Router.

Both computers networks are set up accordingly...

It shouldnt be a problem. Even if you have the network setup completely incorrectly, the router shouldnt restart. Try loading the latest firmware and reset back to factory defaults.

There should be a communication problem by default, but not what you are describing... strange actually.
