WMP10 codecs

I got a few movies and when I double click it says I don't have the reqired codecs :/ I am connected to the net, it says 'requesting;' and then 'error. I thought it download as needed?

Is there anything I can download with all codecs?

I tried that K-Lite pack, but it wasn't as easy as I thought. How do I integrate whatever it does into WMP?
 
WMP, *Shudders*.

Unfortunately I cannot answer your question except by maybe suggesting using a better media player like VLC etc
 
K-lite includes Media Player Classic. It plays everything. I don't know why you're having trouble?

Try VLC or KMPlayer.

The default install of the K-lite pack should be sufficient. Try WMP 11, maybe?

This is all you need, also i am not sure what is wrong with WMP. That codec packs plays just about every file on my pc, including mkv files. K-lite package is dodgy if you ask me.

Uninstall all your previous codecs and install just this one so there are no conflicts.
 
Yup i find it does not play a few rips, like blu ray rips and mkv files, dude these codecs, i am not exactly a certain codec fanboi for goodness sake haha. I speak from my experience in not being able to play certain files. Loaded that community pack and everything i downloaded worked. To me that makes k-lite dodgy.

Strange maybe they changed it but my mkv files when i played them looked for a codec, maybe they updated it :p.
