Woman raped while sharing shower with man

This story just leaves me asking so many questions that its ridiculous.

Someone who is on a world tour about Rape, agrees to get in a shower with a man naked.... and then also "live" blogs this experience.... just doesn't add up to me tbh, almost seems more like a publicity stunt.

<Mod note: discriminatory remark removed>

Her hair looks remarkably dry for someone who has just been the victim of violence in the shower.
Not to mention having a camera handy.

I am usually on the side of the victims in this type of thing but lets look at the situation:
A feminist campaigner wanting to spread the message "Stop Rape. Educate" just happens to get into a shower with a stranger and just happens to get raped? I know rape is bad in South Africa, but this seems a bit to much like a coincidence. She could have easily asked the guy for sex, and the idiot went along with it.

That's it, I'll just have to get signed consent form and video taped consent every time before sex.

That doesn't matter, they can take away consent even after the "event". Eg: Both parties are completely drunk, have sex, she wakes up and finds out and isn't happy with it = rape.

I'm afraid I have to doubt the veracity of this story.

A) She's an anti-rape campaigner. She went to the shower with a guy. That in itself is OK, maybe she wanted to shower with a guy. But as an anti-rape activist she should have a little more situational awareness.

B) Her first move is to start taking selfies?

That's not documenting an assault, that is narcissism. She's clearly more interested in the drama that surrounds her "rape" than the actual phisical assault.

**** like this belittles the actual damage done to actual rape victims.

He can equally cry rape then. They raped each other.

what ever gave you that idea?

so am really trying to see it her way

1. did she say she kissed the guy???
2. then went into the shower with him

well if this was me (and im male). Kissing a girl and then proceeding to the shower is "game on!". Thats an invitation not? maybe a lady can answer this? has any females here got a guy to a shower to only tell him "no sorry i just wanted to save water and shower with you, dont get any ideas"...

it doesnt make any sense. and she also inferred he was drunk? could this have been a media stunt by her? and then finally being a rape activist ... just makes it even more strange.

Rape is sex without consent, regardless of whether she invited him or not.

Oh FFS. Is this thread a competition to see who can be the most misogynistic?

Whether or not you feel the lady involved is attractive or not, is not germane to the discussion.

I would agree, add to that one of the posts on her Instagram says she has been raped 9 times now! She must be a very unlucky person if that's true. Even her own webpage makes comment about having suffered multiple rapes.

Through her activism, Amber was introduced to the man that would eventually rape her six months later.

In September 2014, Amber was sexually assaulted by her roommate. Having also experienced sexual abuse and multiple rapes in her life, she immediately decided to raise awareness about sexual assault through chalk art in the streets of New York City. This was the birth of #StopRapeEducate.

Just makes me wonder what's true and what's not...
