I have 3 base stations covering me!!!

Base 82, 12 and 66

I managed to connect to 66 just now, plus, it's a better signal strenght!!

Very nice. How you finding the Wireless option mate. Im in two minds at the moment to move over next month when the Cape Town Towers become operational.

One other question. What do the base stations look like on the map on Sentechs webpage. I want to go look at one near me for myself. But I need to pinpoint one first. Nearest to me will be Wynberg in CT.

Well, the 512k package owns, I can't tell you how fast browsing is! (downloads as well)

You can go to their site to check if you're zoned, but I'm afraid they're keeping the high sites a secret, not sure why... maybe check closer to the end of march?

The only things that I need to know facts on is.

1. Will I be able to play CS on Karoo.
2. Can I host my businesses website.

If I can do those 2 thngs then Im sold.

What I meant is. When looking at the map does it show the tower as a X or something.

Nope it doesn't show,

yes, you can host your site, but would need dynamic ip thingy to host it with, either way,I know of a great company in parow that does cheap hosting and have the most excellent support.

You'd be able to play CS on karoo, however, lag might spike up to 600 ms at any given time, I think ProAsm said they're working on that issue, but on average expect a sub 150ms ping

I'm going to install the ethernet cable during the weekend (still need to figure out how) then i'll ping them again and see if it helps.

Thanks for the hosting tip. My site is hosted already. I just wanted it closer to home

I have also heard today that the ping to the games server might be sub standard. But that was talk and not substantiated.
I did give Proasm my details for Beta Testing. So lets see.

yes, moved it around if i move it 5 cm to the left, i connect to 82, if i move it to the right (5 cm) i connect to 12
