Hi All,

A little while ago I started playing with wordpress for the first time. I got myself a theme and installed it and again played around a little to get to know it a little - using localhost

Now I have decided to get some webhosting (via Hostmonster) and have got a domain with a proper URL. However, now I needed to get wordpress linked to the new domain. Since I hadn't done very much with the LOCALHOST installation, I decided to do a fresh installation of Wordpress via Simple Script.

I successfully installed this and also re-installed the theme. However, if I try to update my theme via the e-panel, I get an error - basically if I try to upload an image for the logo, I get a message that says "cheating eh?" .... very strange !!

I was wondering if this could be due to the fact that I still have my previous installation of Worpress on my local computer.

Anyone see this before?

Thanks
Vic

Got nothing to do with the fact that you have installed it locally.

You have a theme where you have infringed on its terms of use by unauthorised modification.

A few freebie themes have code written into the theme that checks for modification. Sounds to me this theme developer wants you to buy the theme before you modify it.

What is the name of the theme and where did you download it. Is it a pirated theme ?

Install this pluging to check the theme http://builtbackwards.com/projects/tac/

Aggghhh ! That makes sense then.

No, this is a genuine theme that I purchased via a subscription to Elegant Themes ... maybe I cannot have the theme on multiple installations - Localhost and URL ?

I will ask Elegant Themes what could be the problem.

Thanks for the tip

As I said in my previous reply .... it has got nothing to do with it.

You tried to change something that infringes on their terms and conditions.

Edit : Just Google elegant themes "cheating eh" and you will find all the answers on how to fix the issue you are experiencing.
