WordPress security flaw put millions of websites at risk

If I make my own website using Wordpress , how does it work with my current one hosted by Mweb ? ie do I have to change the address etc?
 
This is what I would suggest:

Create a new subdomain, eg dev.dunkyd.co.za

Install WP on that. Mess around with themes etc until you are happy. Migrate your content from the old site.

Then either:

a) point your existing domain dunkyd.co.za to the IP of dev.dunkyd.co.za

or

b) Use a WP backup plugin and create a copy of dev.dunkyd.co.za; then import into dunkyd.co.za

There are better ways of doing WP dev but this is the easiest
