Is there anywhere on MyBroadband where I can get Wordpress support?
The Wordpress forums on the web is non-existent. One never gets a reply back.

Any suggestions?
 
PM me, I can't promise anything because I haven't used WordPress for a year or two but I used to run several WordPress sites as well as maintain the site for TheOverclocker.
 
Hi Firecorp, you can give me a PM as well. Helping other clients with Wordpress sites as part of our site repair/maintenance services.

Decided while I have some time to dabble in wordpress. No experience with websites. Anyhoo,


1. I know a lot of providers on the forum, but should I go local or international with hosting?
2. Which of the local guys offer 1 click install/updates for the wordpress plugin?


It seems that the international guys will be slower but easire to manage for a noob. Any thoughts?


PS the wordpress recommended hosting (since they get a cut)

Almost every host will have one click installs. Well any of the young adaptive hosts like:

http://elitehost.co.za or https://www.domaincheap.co.za

Not sure if Afrihost or Mweb offer that type of functionality.

I prefer hosting local, but its not that important if you dont. You can also compliment your wordpress hosting with a free CDN and protection like cloudflare.

Warning. Your site will be hacked unless you keep it updated (all plugins, themses and wordpress itself) and install strong security plugins. Such as Wordfence, Codeguard, etc.

Hey. They have the best back-end system , too install the latest WordPress it just takes a few clicks and that's it.... With other providers I had too manually install and update it myself. .......They also have good security features and payment options are the best.... becouse of there good backend I can add+ remove website and buy domain names on a pc without having too call them too do it
