Hey guys,

I recently started up my blog, and now I keep getting the empty white screen once every 3 - 4 times I edit a page or a post on my blog. I do not know why this is happening and it is quite annoying. I do not know if it is the theme that I am using, or GoDaddy's Database Servers really are tripping, or my WordPress is corrupted?

Has anyone else had this issue and how did they resolve it?

Thanks

It looks like it was the theme that I was using. I am changing theme by theme and I am still getting this issue.

I'm going to remove and reinstall WordPress :(

It is still doing it, I managed to Delete the theme that was causing the problem manually but doing that, it didnt let me pick the theme that I wanted. Im busy reinstalling WordPress from scratch now.

Going to your site wants the visitor to create a config file, I'm assuming it's because you're reinstalling. I'm also thinking about starting a blog, how do you find GoDaddy?

Yes I am reinstalling WordPress from the bottom. Well GoDaddy is a common name :D I used to see Adverts back in the days, on the internet.

Im sure I could have gotten better web hosting, GoDaddy has this new "server load" thing that worries me. But so far, so good. I sent in an E-Mail requesting support, got a reply in under 4 hours.

EDIT: What the hell am I thinking writing this ish?? I checked in the control panel, and it says my site is under some limited resources mode.

DONT COME TO GODADDY!!

"Server load" thing, OK... that white screen is due to Godaddy's overloaded servers.
Godaddy is not a good host, from my experience. Good for registering domains, but not for hosting.

I avoid godaddy/hostgator hosting

Hosting really is a brick and mortar thing now. Found my place with DigitalOcean, but its for developers :P

I also use Digital Ocean, Ubuntu 12.04 and ISPConfig3, but I know of people who know very little about running a server, and they are using the free plan from Server Pilot + Wordpress.
The downside to using Server Pilot is that you need to use another service, like domains.live.com for the email accounts on your domain.

Hey Koeks, nice article. Did not know about Zpanel. Definitely something useful. I learn something new everyday :)

This whole koeks thing is confusing now :/ gonna ask to change my name as leaving gtown too :P

Thanks, yeah just a cool free alternative to cpanel and who prefer opensource.

I can basically setup a droplet and have a whole hosting company up in about 20 minutes website/billing/ticket system which is why the industry has gone to the dogs...

Plugins

White screens are also caused by plugins. If you continue to have the same problem after rebuilding, try either disabling all plugins and only activate one-by-one or disable one-by-one until the white screens don't come up anymore.

Yoh dude, I think now I agree with Hosting being so crap. Its so expensive, service support sucks, they limit resources :(

Yoh I apologize for this Koeks mess, originally my username around here was okuhle94 but then I decided to change it to my nickname which is "koeks". I am a home wrecker :(

Ya I saw that, you rename the folder of the plugins by appending _old to the plugin name (Googling told me this). But I am glad I did the reinstall, I havn't had any issues yet.
