Anyone here using WordRival?
Can't get it to use BIS. Tried with and without blackberry.net APN.
Running Vodacom Bold 9700 OS 5.0.0.862.
Any suggestions?

I use WordRival on my Torch but I have never fiddled with any APN settings. The game works fine for me but right now, until I see my next invoice, I am not sure if it uses BIS or not.

Is there always someone online to play against?

How does it work?
Share your PIN or something?

Dolby, you don't have to share your PIN. Initially you'll probably select 'Random Game', which will either look for open random invitations, or, if there's none there, issue an open invitation for the next player. Once you've played a handful of games you may know a few users who you'd want to play again - then you can just say 'Join Game' and enter their user name. The game is still quite young, so the userbase is not that big. You get mainly two kinds of users, the ones who play 'on', meaning they start a game and want to finish it right there and then, and the ones who play 'off', like some kind of snail mail scrabble. (I am the latter kind). Some of the first type don't have the patience to play with those of the second type and may end games prematurely. There is still a lot of refinement that can be done with this game, and the developers seem to be on top of it, but it can be fun in the current state.

Keep us posted re BIS?

I keep getting server connection failed when I try to connect through BIS. :-(

How do you force it to BIS? Would like to try.

OK, I just got my November phone account and my excess data usage amounts to R0.01. God only knows what happened there, but I am darn sure it's not WordRival since I use that one one a daily basis. However, I am on a BIS/BES contract, so I don't know how that comes into play.
