Work from home tax question?

I work for a company who are situated quite far from me. As such, as in my employment contract, they allow me to work from home 4/5 days of the week, and I drive into the office at least once a week. I get a set salary, CTC.

Is there any kind of significant tax I could claim for this? Or is it just such a mission I shouldn't even entertain thoughts of pursuing some sort of tax rebate?

You cant deduct any expenses against a normal salary income. If you earned commission then yes, but also only if at least 80% of your income is commission iirc.

Tax break from working at home? It's possible to claim the rent portion from your home-office/study but you may have to be a provisional tax payer to do this. Either way you're going to need advice from a consultant going down that road.
