World Cup Stadiums At Night

Why is no one talking about Loftus?!? hee hee

One thing I will say is that these photos prove that all these new stadiums are stunning. The night shots show Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium to be a looker too. Not quite MM of course but nice. ;)

For the entire match day all power to most stadiums (I know PE is one of those) will run off non-Eskom/municipal power using their own massive generators. The Eskom power is the back up power!!

CT stadium is breathtaking if you see it first-hand. When you exit V&A parking and go onto that big circle it looks like a giant, bright space-ship has landed almost right in-front of you. Quite something. I'm also guessing that the electricity bill for it is the highest of all the stadiums, ironically in the city with the highest difficulty in obtaining electricity :/. Still gets my vote though.

Yup the electricity bill is massive.. but worth it :D

Some CTS mountain love?

Looks even more magical when the table cloth is flowing down the mountain.

Next week this time you all be raving about Soccer City after it hosts its first 2 games...

Not that many night time shots of it though as it's pretty much in the middle of no where but from what I've seen personally (I've visited all the new stadiums) it's the one that causes the most emotion when standing next to. Well for me anyway

Well the stadiums cost me about 300000 in taxes and I do NOT even watch football. So **** em.

I know. It sadly seems they wasted some of your tax money on that new weird cricket stadium in Durban. Well at least Cape Town Stadium makes up for it :)
