So Brazil being denied a legitimate penalty and a perfectly good goal, along with handing Chile their equaliser was winning by the skin of their teeth? No.

Pinilla nearly dumped them out after they fought to get to extra time, and I applaud Chile's effort (I was rooting for them, after all). But the game didn't pan out in the sense that Brazil won it by the skin of their teeth.
