Hi there.
I got mine yesterday, and installed it to start playing.
Well, two minutes into the game it freezed!!! Started it again, and again it stopped. I use two machines, mine AMD 3600 with Geforce 6600 card and 1 gig memory, the other machine (kids) AMD 6500 with Gforce 8600 and 1 gig memory. Bothe machines freezes!!!!!!
Went to Nvidia.com and there I saw that the new driver (28 Sept 07) for the 6 and 8 series makes mentioning of World in Conflict.

I downloaded the 32 meg driver, and the stupid game still FREEZES!!!!!!
All for **** nothing............(sorry for the words)
they rated the game 9.6 at Gamespot, just wondering how the hell they got the game to work right????????????

Chris

mone works fine.. just lags a hell of alot.. doubt a 6600 will handle it...

on a 7800Gtx below normal graphics has to be used to not lag..

IMO rather get CoH or Sup Com for a good RTS!

got the game, i think it is very cool, multipplayer can be very interesting i reckon.. no issues wrt lag at all

I played the demo on XP and Vista without any freezing/bugs at all. It was quite fun...finished it 3 times :p

@Lionking: try disabling your anti virus. I guess you're running the same anti virus software on both pcs, giving you similar symptoms. Just a wild guess thought :)

Hi there
I did disable my virus,firewall, network (internet)etc....
The other machine (AMD 5600) hasn't got any virus program (no internet there). I did though yesterday put the graphics down to "low". The game runs seems okay now on both!!! But why do I have a Geforce 8600 and I must put the graphics on "low". That seems just stupid (Upgraded week ago,,,,R4200-00 to play one day Bioshock??????

Bye

i played the demo and not impressed , just antoher rts with better graphics

You paid R4200 for a 8600 ???!!!

Its gonna be slower than my 7800 that struggles...

world in conflict update coming soon:
The update contains a couple of balancing tweaks and minor fixes, plus improved dx10 performance for all cards. There’s also promise of several new nifty customisation features for player profiles.

for internist sake run this (can your pc run world in conflict)
http://www.yougamers.com/gameometer/10195/

and see where your combo ranks

Thanx

Well i dont know what everyone is going on about but this game is brilliant i just finished it on Sat, It's no where near some boring rts clone the story-line in is very good it almost feels like a good rpg with the way the story goes...

And this game runs fine on my 7900gt i even managed to push up most of the graphics 2 full and it plays with barely a hitch at all :D:D:D:D

well just got my copy today and just played thru the tutorial! It looks pretty decent on my crappy machine, alltho running it on low settings. No freezing, no stuttering(yet) and it also looks like its alot of fun to play! Cant wait till I get into the meat of the game tho! Any local servers running or do we have to connect to europe or the states?

hey guys

i've created a Hamachi network for local WiC players, I will be online and hosting a server from 6:30pm tonight(thursday) and anybody and everybody is encouraged to join.

hamachi network:

network name: wicZA
password: war

PS: i joined a international hamachi WiC network yesterday to test and it worked well.
