World War II shooters?

What has become of World War II based FPS games? The last couple of years we've been bombarded by "modern" shooters (Modern Warfare, Black Ops, Battlefield etc.) but I feel a new WW2 shooter would be a fresh and welcome change to this trend we've been seeing.

Maybe it's just me but I miss games like Call of Duty 1-3 and Medal of Honor Airborne, Allied Assault etc.

Perhaps Wolfenstein: The New Order will bring some much needed variation in this over-saturated modern shooter market?

Maybe you should go try Red Orchestra series, MP in it rocks. Thing is you need skill unlike CoD/BF3 where you just spray and pray. Personally I prefer the more strategical games based in that era like Men of War and Theater of war series.

Problem is with the games I mentioned is that they are not pacified for today's youth. You actually need skill to progress.

^^ This. Loved Allied Assault. Myself and a couple of mates used to LAN this until early hours of the morning (particularly the downloadable custom maps, notable one called The Falls). My favourite mission on this game was the infamous Sniper Town. Used to pop the difficulty on max and try fight my way through. Many deaths was inevitable.
