-- A 75 year old woman from Karlstad in central Sweden has been thrust into the IT history books - with the world’s fastest internet connection. Sigbritt Löthberg’s home has been supplied with a blistering 40Gbps connection, many thousands of times faster than the average residential link, and the first time ever that a home user has experienced such a high speed.
The secret behind Sigbritt's ultra-fast connection is a new modulation technique (from Cisco systems) which allows data to be transferred directly between two routers up to 2,000 kilometers apart, with no intermediary transponders.

It's a 75 year old woman who grew up with NO TECHNOLOGY whatsoever. Now she has a 40Gbps connection. We are stuck with 1Mb to 10Mb connections. What is that, like 4000 times slower? And you wonder why we complain about speeds...Really???? Okay so I do realize its a bonded connection so that means here we can do 4x10Mb which still does not come close! That woman can now play online checkers/spades at an amazing ping I guess... Bwhahahahaha
