not 100% sure but something like old paint can as a mould, fix bolts into it, concrete fill, make a handle.

Yeah, was thinking of daisychaining a few 1.8kg ones together as 1 big wheel. Your idea is better

i just need to get around making it, at a 20L tin it should still be easy enough to store around a corner.

so it turns out the pant hire place about 1km away hires these for R54 a day (about the size of a 20L paint tin) and you just fill them with water to give them weight. so bugger making one, I will just hire it from now one every spring for a day. a pity that i already added some lawn dressing, although the ground is buggered so maybe i should get another few bags, spike the ground and lightly dress again the problem areas.
