So, i noticed in the corner of our house roof, outside - where the truss is in the open, there's some kind of worm eating the wood. It seems to be able to get through it pretty quickly too.

Anyone know what this is and my question is;

1. Do you know if there's something I can get from Builders to spray it? I don't even know if it has a name?
2. Some loose Googling suggested this thing could also get into the main trusses of the house. Should I have the whole roof handled by a pest control company?

Do you own or rent? You're going to want a professional to assess it either way.

Sounds like Borus (wood borer beetle). Get professional help to get rid of those nasty ****ers.

I have also seen this on the wooden awning outside my kitchen door.

My first observation was sawdust on the paving outside the kitchen door.

It’s a perfectly round hole in the wood.
Any idea how to get rid of this ?

Get a company to help if you can.

From my experience, pests are just not worth trying to take on in a personal capacity unless you are 100% confident what you are dealing with and you know how to get rid of it.
